Prayer Chain

God comes alongside us when we go through hard times. Then before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us … And he has rescued us from certain doom. And he’ll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing. [Remember] you and your prayers are part of the rescue operation … 2 Corinthians 3 The Message

God comes alongside us when we are going through hard times. And he gives us other people to come alongside of us and support us as well. At The Spirit we have a team of people you will never see, who pray behind the scenes each day for those in need.

To request prayers: Write down your request and hand it to one of our Pastors, or email your concern to All emails are confidential and only seen by Pastor Roger. He receives your requests and sends out a confidential request to the Prayer Chain members, who also keep all requests confidential.

Then your needs will be offered up in prayer for the following week as faithful friends come alongside of you.

It’s time to tap into the power of prayer. Let us know how we can help.

Interested in joining the Prayer Chain?

One person praying is a powerful thing. Two people praying is more powerful, according to the Bible. We are to join together in prayer, and together, learn to rely on God to provide for our needs, and the needs of others.

So here’s your chance to become part of the choir, not just be a soloist … Here’s how it works: a couple of times a month you get a note in the mail, which gives you info about people who need our prayers. There’s a card included you can carry with you, or leave on your dashboard, stick in whatever book you are reading, or keep in a pocket. Then each day we ask you to pray for the people on the card. As you do, you join others in the congregation who are praying for the same folk in the same day. It’s simple, anonymous, and fits into your schedule.

Email requests for prayer come out inbetween mailings so you can update your card, and respond quickly to urgent needs. Updates are also sent out so you can see the effects of our prayers as we give thanks for prayeers answered.

If you are willing to pray along with us, please speak to Pastor Roger. Immediate openings are available for you to join us.
